Event Recap: Kingsnight Special at BIT Rotterdam
Co-curated for @join.thefunction's Kingsnight special at BIT Rotterdam, The Language of the Disturbed presented a sound-reactive light installation that explored the terrain between perception and disruption.
Measuring 110 × 55 × 12 cm and crafted from wood, glass, and LED lights, the work engaged viewers in a dialogue with fragmented realities—where bent metal flirted with distortion and shattered glass symbolised the collision of different worlds.
Shaped by unexpected impacts, the installation offered a glimpse into spaces where what once was no longer exists, yet the essence remains. Light responded to sound, transforming the existing architecture into a living meditation on presence and absence.
The event fostered connection with a diverse community of art enthusiasts and creatives, continuing our commitment to co-curating spaces with distinctive artistic expression.
